The 2020 and 2023 Lay Recognition Awards were presented recently to members of Old Paramus Reformed Church. Both years were included in the ceremony because of the Covid situation that interferred for the past couple of years. Chuck Jennings received the award in 2020 and Syd and Sue Robertson this year. Chuck Jennings made confession of faith as a fourteen year old at Old Paramus Reformed Church on May 22, 1961. Chuck has been an active part of the Church except for a brief period of time when he was away at college. Throughout the years Chuck has humbly served the Church in many capacities. On two separate occasions he has served as Elder, he has been the Sunday School Superintendent for the past five years, an active Sunday School teacher for over thirty years, chair of the Endowment Committee, heads up the Roast Beef Dinner Fundraiser and leads the annual Christmas party. Along with these leadership positions, Chuck regularly provides transportation to Church for those members who do not drive and is always willing to assist others within the Church in any way he is able. Chuck is a humble servant who cares deeply for his Church and for others.
